About Zurich

<p>Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland. It is located at the northwestern tip of Lake Zurich. Zurich is home to many churches and houses of the old town, the most expensive shops along the famous Bahnhofstrasse, as well as world-class museums, operas, and theater. The Lindenhof in the old town is the historical site of the Roman castle, and the later Carolingian Imperial Palace. Zurich offers a great deal of variety when it comes to night-time leisure. It is the host city of the world-famous Street Parade, which takes place in August every year. Zurich is known for its nightlife, offering a huge variety of restaurants, bars, and night clubs.</p>

About Grindelwald

Grindelwald is home to Jungfraubahn, a mountain railway up the Jungfrau mountain, listed as a Swiss heritage site of national significance. The land around the Kleine Scheidegg is part of the Inventory of Swiss Heritage Sites. Grindelwald village is located in the Bernese Alps. Long famed as a winter tourist destination with slopes for beginners, intermediates and the challenges of the Eiger glacier for the experienced, there are activities for the non-skiers, from tobogganing to groomed winter hiking tracks. It is the usual starting point for ascents of the Eiger and the Wetterhorn. Today, Grindelwald is also a popular summer activity resort with many miles of hiking trails across the Alps.

About Verbier

It is a holiday resort and ski area in the Swiss Alps and is recognized as one of the premiere "off-piste" resorts in the world. Some areas are covered with snow all year. Verbier is known for its off-piste and itinerary ski runs. In the summer there are lots of hiking trails and hikers can trek through the mountains, some of them covered with snow all year round. Other activities include climbing, paragliding, swimming, golf, badminton, Ice karting, mountain biking, trips aboard the mountain railways in the area, and an annual music festival.

About Lugano

Lugano is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Switzerland. The city is home to a number of historic buildings and museums, whilst the surrounding area has many natural sights. Lake Lugano and the surrounding mountains provide a wide variety of outdoor activities. The area surrounding Lugano is home to mountain biking trails. The city of Lugano, the villages of Barbengo, Bre, Gandria and Biogno, and the sites of Cantine di Gandria and Castagnola are all part of the Inventory of Swiss Heritage Sites. The heritage sites of national significance includes libraries, churches, museums, a cemetery complex, and notable houses throughout the city.

About Davos

Davos is located on the Landwasser River, in the Swiss Alps, between the Plessur and Albula Range. Besides being famous for cross country skiing, Davos also offers the largest natural ice skating field in Europe. There are six main ski areas in winter. All areas offer summer transport as well on to the main peaks. The remote side valleys heading towards the Engadin area are worth the long hikes. Davos is home to seven sites that are listed as Swiss heritage sites of national significance, including the Town Archives, the Kirchner Museum, the Grosses Jenatschhaus, and the Forest Cemetery. Several hotels and spas are also included on the list.
